A Lincoln man reports he was beaten by multiple people while taking a walk around a south Lincoln apartment complex, apparently at random.
Lincoln Police Officer Luke Bonkiewicz says officers reported to Bryan West late around 10 pm Sunday Sunday night after receiving reports of a patient who had been assaulted.
On arrival, officers made contact with a 19-year-old victim, who told officers he was walking around an apartment in the 1300 block of F street when he was jumped by 3 or 4 men he didn’t know.
” The victim told us that one o the men hit him in the head with brass knuckles causing multiple lacerations to the top of the head,” said Bonkiewicz. “An unrelated vehicle happened to enter the area, and this caused the suspects to flee the scene.”
The suspects have not been identified and a motive has not been officially established.
An investigation is ongoing.
