A father and son report being assaulted at home.
Lincoln Police Officer Erin Spilker said officers were called to a residence in the 2700 block of P Street just before midnight Saturday on reports of a robbery.
Officers contacted a 55-year-old man and his 17-year-old-son who said they were assaulted by two men who entered their apartment from an unlocked back door.
“The males demanded money from the victims and started assaulting them,” said Spilker. “After being struck several times with fists the victim yelled he was going to call police, and the males fled on foot.”
Spilker said a separate witness also reported that a third man was seen standing outside during the assault and fled with the other two suspects.
An investigation is ongoing.
