With a high positivity rate of COVID-19 patients in the Crete area, Bryan Medical is stepping up its efforts beginning with more testing. The Bryan Mobile Testing unit will be in Crete today (Tuesday) from 330pm-6pm at the city’s utility shop near 9th & Oak. Patients are asked to make an appointment by calling 402-481-5121.
Results from last Friday’s testing of 78-patients, 33 tested positive for a 44% positivity rate.
Bryan Medical CEO John Woodrich said there needs to be more done than just treating the patient. He says education of family members and additional testing is still needed.
And it’s not just the workplace where social distancing should be practiced. He noted there is a higher likelihood of families in the area do live in smaller, confined spaces with multi-generational families living together as well. Woodrich noted the community needs to help residents respond appropriately to the realities of this pandemic.
