A Lincoln hospital is announced as the primary process location for state COVID-19 tests.

Governor Pete Ricketts announced at today’s COVID-19 press briefing that a lab has been built at CHI Health St. Elizabeth.

“CHI has been a tremendous partner as we’ve gone through this entire emergency,” said Ricketts. “ Not the least of which is helping us get up our lab set up here in Lincoln to be able to do the testing for testnebraska.com”

CHI St. Elizabeth President Derek Vance was present and said his hospital has served the state and the Lincoln community for over 120 years, so when the governor asked to set up a lab there he was honored to accept, “we were honored to answer that call.”

Vance said that the lab is up and running and has the capacity to process more than 3,000 tests per day.
