National Guard flyovers honoring healthcare workers scheduled to occur at 14 different health facilities across the state Tuesday has been canceled.
In a statement, the Guard said that the cancellations are due to low cloud ceilings forecast across much of the state.
The guard says it hopes to schedule a future event to salute Nebraskans working hard against COVID-19.
Pilots had been set to flyover CHI St. Elizabeth and Bryan Health this afternoon.

Due to low cloud ceilings forecast across much of Nebraska today, the flyover salute has been cancelled.
We hope to schedule a future event to salute all the Nebraskans working hard against COVID-19.

Healthcare workers across the state will be honored tomorrow via a Nebraska National Guard flyover
During Tuesday’s gubernatorial COVID-19 media briefing, Governor Pete Ricketts announced the guard will fly over 14 facilities across the state in honor of the critical work health workers have done since the pandemic started.
The flyovers will be performed by the Guard’s 155th wing in Boeing KC-135 Stratotankers.
The Guard is set scheduled to fly over CHI St. Elizabeth and Bryan Health at around 2:45 pm Wednesday.
