A Lincoln man has been killed in a collision along I-80 near NW 48th St.
In a statement, the Nebraska State Patrols said they first received reports of a crash around 10:45 am Friday.
A maintenance crew located a 2009 Toyota Corolla in the south ditch of Interstate 80, just off the eastbound exit ramp at mile marker 395.
Upon arrival, troopers discovered that the lone occupant of the vehicle, 35-year-old Lincoln resident, Johan Lopez, was deceased.
It was also determined that Lopez may have been deceased for some time.
Further investigation has revealed that Lopez had been reported as a missing person by his family in Thornton, Colorado earlier this week after he didn’t report to his job in Lincoln.
The investigation is ongoing to determine when the crash took place.
