The Lancaster County Health Department reports 34 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lincoln today. That brings the community total to 1,521 cases. Two more people are hospitalized from the virus bringing the total to 26. Six of those patients are on ventilators.

The Nebraska Department of Corrections tested 400 men and women since the onset of COVID-19 and only seven have tested positive. All seven have recovered. They represent 1.8 percent of the total number of people tested throughout the department’s 10 facilities.
Statewide, Nebraska tops 17,000 cases for the first time since the pandemic started and the death toll reaches 231.
