A man searched for having alcohol at a park is also found to be in possession of meth.
Officer Luke Bonkiewicz said that around 9:1p.m Wednesday, officers on bike patrol within Antelope Park came upon a man who they could see had alcohol in his backpack.
“Because they could see simply see it in plain view inside of the backpack; they saw the label, the new it was alcohol, that gave them probable cause to search the backpack,” said Bonkiewicz.
Officers located a pipe that pre-tested positive for meth as well as a sheathed 9.5-inch knife.
56-year-old Keithen Daniel was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
He also received a municipal code violation for having alcohol at the park.
