By News Jul 23, 2020 | 12:00 PM
Lincoln Police were called to 19th and J just before 8 p.m. Wednesday after receiving a report a woman was hitting a vehicle with a hammer.  Officers arrived to learn there had been an argument involving several people earlier in the day.  Police say 24-year-old Khadijah Green arrived at that address to get belongings from a vehicle she owned with a 21-year-old man.
Green told police she brought a hammer with her in case she needed to defend herself.  When she arrived, she started hitting the vehicle breaking the rear window and tail lights.  That started another altercation involving a 43-year-old woman who was apparently struck in the head with the hammer swung by Green.  Green also reported that she was struck with a baseball bat by a 14-year-old boy causing cuts to her head.
Green was arrested for 2nd-degree assault.  The 14-year-old was referred for 2nd-degree assault and released to a parent.
