Those working at House of Glass Smoke Shop at 1415 South Street took after theft suspects Sunday around 7 p.m. Cash and cell phones were taken.
Police were soon called called to the 2300 block S 14th Street after a group of people were fighting.
After the robbery, a 40 year old female employee and witnesses chased after the male suspect. They were able to get the cash back but not the phones. During that confrontation, a woman drove up in a vehicle and walked up to the employee and punched her in the face. Police arrested 19 year old Hayley Escobar as an accessory to a felony. Police determined that she was responsible for driving the vehicle and waited inside to pick up the male suspect.
Officers also took 19 year old Paulino Villanueva into custody and he was booked for robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony and child neglect. There was a five month old child in the vehicle during the robbery and assault.
Police found a handgun and they were able to locate the stolen phones.
