A deadly crash just before 8 a.m. August 16th claimed the life of 24 year old Conner Altenhofen of Chariton, Iowa.
Lincoln Police arrived and found a 2007 Ford Mustang was on the westbound ramp to I-80 from North 27th Street. Police say Altenhofen was thrown from the vehicle when it rolled and he was declared dead at the scene.
A 34 year old female passenger suffered minor injuries and declined medical treatment at the scene.
Police determined speed and alcohol were factors in the accident and that seat belts were not worn by either the driver or passenger. There were no other vehicles involved in the crash.
