The Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau is proud to welcome USA BMX and the Cornhusker Nationals this weekend with events taking place at Star City BMX, 101 Charleston Street. The events begin on Friday, August 21 and continue through Sunday, August 23 as up to 800 riders and 3,000 spectators are expected to arrive for this weekend’s festivities. Star City BMX has previously hosted USA BMX events and remains a staple for hosting local and regional BMX events.
“We are thrilled that USA BMX has continued to work closely with our office and the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department to make this event happen smoothly and safely for all of the competitors coming to Lincoln,” says Jeff Maul, executive vice-president of the Lincoln
CVB.
“USA BMX has remained committed to the process of ensuring this event is successful despite the challenges of COVID-19. We are excited to work with Star City BMX to put on an exciting weekend for our competitors and their families that are coming to Lincoln,” Maul adds.
The ages of participants range from 7 & Under Boys and Girls to 17 & Over Men and Women with practices beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning. USA BMX, with a 30 event national race schedule, is the largest promoter of action sports in the country and organizes BMX racing for boys, girls and adults throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
