There is $400,000 in damage to the Kwik Shop at 2811 N 48th Street after a fire at 12:45 Tuesday afternoon.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to the call and crews reported seeing smoke and flames upon arrival. There was zero visibility inside the store when they arrived.
It took firefighters about 20 minutes to get the fire under control.
Investigators determined the fire was caused by a mechanical failure of a cooler inside the building.
