Lincoln Police were called to the 3500 block of N 73rd around 1 a.m. on Monday, August 24th after they received a report that a man was threatening people inside a home with a shotgun.
A 52 year old woman reported that 52 year old Phillip Salmela had entered the home and was upset that the woman had company.  She claims he pointed the gun at both people and threatened to kill them.  The woman called police and the visitor fled the home.  Police could hear arguing when they arrived.
Officers were able to get the victim out of the home safely and then safely spoke with Salmela who was still inside with the gun.  Salmela walked out of the home on his own and was placed under arrest.  The gun was found inside the home.
Salmela was booked on two counts of making terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
