Lincoln Police responded to a local hospital shortly before 5 Wednesday afternoon on a report they were treating a shooting victim.
Information provided by the victim led officers to the 1000 block of W. Welter Drive….
“We learned there was some sort of argument between the victim and the party who ended up shooting – Mr. Johnny Anderson,” said LPD Sargent Steve Wiese. “During this argument the victim produced a bee bee gun at which time Mr. Anderson produced a handgun and fired somewhere between three to five shots striking the victim twice causing injuries to the left elbow and left leg.”
60-year old Johnny Anderson was arrested and charged with first degree assault, use of a firearm to commit to felony, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
The victim’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.
