Lincoln Police were called to a home around 1 p.m. on September 9th to check on the welfare of a woman living at 19th and Euclid. The woman told police that about two weeks earlier, an acquaintance, 66 year old Theodore Buford was knocking on her door with a hard object.
When the woman opened the door, Buford pointed a gun at her and fired one shot in her direction. Buford then left the scene in a vehicle. Police found a bullet hole on a wall. The victim also told police that she feared for her life.
When officers were speaking with the woman, Buford showed up and was taken into custody. He then turned over a handgun to police.
Buford was arrested for making terroristic threats and use of a firearm to commit a felony.
Thank you,
