Lincoln Police are looking for those responsible for firing shots into a woman’s vehicle around 4:30 a.m. Friday at 27th and South Street.
The 20 year old woman says she was driving south on 27th Street when another vehicle pulled up beside her. She saw a dark object pointed out the window at her and then heard gun shots. The woman took off and pulled into a gas station at 27th and South and called police. She then got out of the vehicle and saw several bullet holes. One had gone through the driver’s side door and hit the seat.
Police processed the scene and are requesting video evidence. Officers believe that this incident stemmed from a previous disturbance earlier in the night and this was not a random act of violence. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers 402-475-3600.
