88 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Wednesday

Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department reports 88 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19  in Lancaster County Wednesday,  bringing the community total to 5,938.  The number of deaths in the community remains at 24.  Recoveries remain at 2.216.

The positivity rate is up in Lancaster County from 8.1% to 8.2%.  The Nebraska rate remains unchanged at 9.7%.

There are 53 people hospitalized in Lancaster County.  Officials report that seven patients are on ventilators.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, shortness of breath, repeated shaking with chills, repeated muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell.  If you have symptoms, please get tested.  Testing is now open to all Lancaster County residents by appointment only.
