This COVID-19 Risk Dial remains unchanged the mid-orange or high risk category.  The dial provides a summary of current conditions in the Lincoln-Lancaster County community. Each color incorporates federal and national guidance published by public health experts and is coupled with specific guidance.

Health Director Pat Lopez reports there are 105 new cases of COVID-19 Friday bringing the community total to 6.747.  The recovery total is 2.634.

So far this week, 388 cases have been reported compared to 571 last week and 538 from the week before.

Lopez is back on the job after being diagnosed with COVID-19 two weeks ago.  Lopez says she does not have a contact source but no one in her household or co-workers within the Health Department became ill.  Her primary symptoms were fever, fatigue and head pain that required rest for a few days.

Recovers are up from 2,587 to 2,634.  The Lancaster County positivity rate remains at 8.6% and the state rate is up from 9.8% to 10%.  The national rate is down from 8.2% to 8%.
