Spontaneously Ignited Charcoal Causes House Fire

LFR was called to a home at 67th and Adams Saturday at 6:15 a.m..  Smoke could be seen coming from the attic of a single story ranch home.

Fire crews cut holes in the roof to get to the fire.  Investigators determined the cause was a spontaneously ignited bag of charcoal that was stored in the attic.  The damage is estimated at $65,000.

No one was hurt.
