Lincoln Police were called to the Hall of Justice at 575 S 10th Street on Sunday, October 2nd at 2 p.m. to investigate a belated assault report. Officers spoke with a 22-year-old man who had injuries to his face. He told police he went to a house party on North 33rd Street the night before with a female friend and was confronted by a group of males.
The victim was told to leave and once outside, the men started assaulting him. The victim said he tried to get away but the assault continued. When he escaped, he noticed his car keys were missing and his phone. The total loss is about $250.
The victim left his vehicle parked near the party as he didn’t want to return. The next day he and his family members went to look for his 2014 Ford Taurus but were unable to find it. The victim was unsure exactly where he parked but said it was near North 33rd Street. The vehicle is valued at $11,500.
