Lincoln Police were called to a home near 27th and O Street Friday at 5 p.m. for a robbery. Officers talked to a 20-year-old man who had injuries to his face and head. The man told police he was at a home with an acquaintance when he was approached by a man wearing a mask and holding what he believed was a handgun.
The man struck the victim with the gun and then racked the slide causing the victim to fear for his life. Several other people entered and assaulted him as well. They demanded the contents of his pockets and the victim gave him his phone, wallet, and car keys. The victim was able to get away and went to a nearby business to call the police. He was then taken to a hospital for treatment. He will recover.
Police searched the area, interviewed witnesses, and processed the scene for evidence. The next day the victim reported that someone had gained access to his phone and transferred money using a cash app in the total of $1,500.
