Two More COVID-19 Deaths Tuesday, 134 New Cases

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department Tuesday announced that two residents have died from COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths in Lancaster County to 39.  The individuals were a woman in her 80s and a man in his 70s who were both hospitalized.

There are 134 new lab-confirmed cases Tuesday bringing the community total to 8.339.  Recoveries are up from 3,580 to 3,665.  The overall positivity rate in Lancaster County is up from 8.8% to 8.9%.  The state rate is up from 10.7% to 10.8%.  The national rate remains at 7.6%.

There are 65 people hospitalized with 30 from Lancaster County and 35 from other communities.  A total of seven patients are on ventilators.

  • Bryan Health: Former Graham Tire Store, northeast corner of 19th and “O” streets.
  • CHI Health St. Elizabeth and Test Nebraska: Gateway Mall, 6100 “O” St., northwest corner of the mall.  Test Nebraska’s hours are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
