Arrest Made In November 5th Stabbing At N 26th & W, Investigation Continues

A man seriously injured in a stabbing on November 5th at North 26th and W recovered to the point he could provide more details to police about the attack.  The 44 yea rold man was found laying on the ground with multiple stab wounds and was rushed to a hospital.

The victim reported that he was visiting a friend in the area when he was confronted by two men whom he was somewhat familiar with but only knew their first names.  Witnesses provided physical descriptions of the people responsible that included the clothing they were wearing at the time. The victim was able to direct officers to residence of one of the people responsible.

On November 7th, a search warrant was served and the clothing worn by one of the assailants was located with what appeared to be blood stains on them.  Based on the descriptions provided by the victim and witnesses along with the name and address information, 29 year old Lorenzo Taylor was determined to be one of the people responsible for the assault.

On November 8th just before 10 p.m., , Taylor was taken into custody and arrested for 1st Degree Assault and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony.
