A number of Lincoln residents took part in the 22nd annual Veterans Walk of Recognition at 9:30 Wednesday morning. They took the long hike from Memorial Stadium to Veterans memorial Drive where members of the garden advisory council members greeted and met with visitors throughout the afternoon.
The Nebraska State Capitol is lit green to honor veterans who’ve serviced our country.
Today is also a federal holiday with government offices closed, including the post office and most banks.
