The Nebraska Hospital Association together with Nebraska Healthcare Marketers are launching a statewide awareness effort to aid in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 in Nebraska.
As cases and hospitalizations continue to surge in nearly every part of the state, these two organizations saw the need to communicate to its members as well as the general public ways to prevent the spread and thus, reduce the numbers of Nebraskans needing hospitalization as a result.
We’re in this together, Nebraska, is the primary message of the initiative that will leverage the strength of Nebraska pride and helping each other. The campaign features health care professionals and targeted messaging on how wearing masks, washing hands and avoiding the 3 Cs (crowded places, close contacts and confined spaces) can help slow the spread of COVID-19.
The digital campaign will be originated by NHA and NHM on their social media platforms and distributed to Nebraska hospitals and health care facilities. Timing of the campaign will commence November 16 and continue until December 31, 2020.
In addition, NHA and NHM are encouraging all health care organizations to join a coalition of health care entities that pledge to serve as examples in our community and help educate individuals on how they can protect themselves and others. Visit this website for a list of coalition members.
“Our hospitals and health care professionals are at their limits and Nebraskans need to change their behaviors soon if we have any hope of knocking down this deadly virus in our communities,” commented Laura J. Redoutey, NHA President. “As Nebraskans, it is our responsibility to take the necessary steps to protect our loved ones in the face of this global pandemic.”
