The Nebraska Department of Labor as released unemployment claim statistics for the week of November 29 – December 5.
Statistics show there were 600 more new unemployment claims last week compared to the week before. There were also 55 more new unemployment claims filed than for the week prior.
There were also 735 more regular unemployment claims filed last week compared to the week before and 644 new pandemic unemployment claims filed.
CARES Act benefit programs including Pandemic Unemployment Assistance and Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation are scheduled to expire December 26.
