Meth, Cocaine, Heroin, Oxycodone Found During Traffic Stop

A Minnesota man is facing drug charges after a traffic stop near 48th and I-80 on Thursday, December 10th at 2:24 p.m.   A LPD officer saw a Dodge Ram pickup closely following a semi.  The pickup was also seen driving on the shoulder.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver, 38 year old Darrel Twombly of Minnesota.

The officer was issuing a traffic warning, Twombly spike up and admitted he had a meth pipe inside the vehicle and it was found in the center console.  That prompted a further search where a number of controlled substances were found.

Officers located 5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, 1.8 ounces of suspected cocaine, 4.4 grams of suspected heroin, and 892 tablets of suspected Oxycodone.

Officers cited and lodged Twombly for two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, a felony, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a felony, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
