On December 15th just after 4 p.m., , police were called to the 3200 block of S 14th street on a report of a weapons violation. They talked to two neighbors who heard a man outside their apartment building yelling. Two neighbors left their apartments and saw 48 year old Cory Courage yelling while holding a box cutter. Both say he threatened to cut them. Courage then started walking toward a 16 year old neighbor and continued with the threats to hurt him.
Officers arrived at Courage’s apartment but he refused to open the door. Negotiators spoke with Courage for quite some time and were getting ready to start the warrant process when he came out of the building and was taken into custody.
Courage was booked for two counts of terroristic threats.
