Arrest Made In Car Break-Ins

On Sunday, December 13th just after 11 a.m., Lincoln Police were called to the 1600 block of N 32nd Street to investigate a suspicious person.  A woman stated she was looking out her window and saw a man in her driveway opening her car door.  Police searched the area and found a man matching the description of the suspect and tried to contact him.  he took off running.

Other officers responding were flagged down by a person who pointed to where the man was near 32nd and Fair.  he was taken into custody without incident and police found a cell phone, phone charges, vehicle registrations and personal identifications that were not his.  Officers contacted those people listed on the items found and determined their vehicles had also been entered in the area and items were taken.  One of the vehicle registrations was stolen on November 17th in the 3100 block of North Hill Road.

23 year old Luis Valdez was cited and released for entering a motor vehicle without permission, two counts of stealing money or goods less than $500 and possession of stolen property.
