On Tuesday December 15th just after 10 p.m., officers were dispatched along with Lincoln Fire and Rescue to the 400 block of S 25th street on a fire. A neighbor called in after seeing what appeared to be a pile of trash on fire near a tree and put the fire out. . The fire damaged a detached garage with an estimated $4,000 in damage and a 1999 gold Lexus RX300 that had $1,000 in damage.
In investigator determined this fire an arson as there was no natural explanation for how the fire would have started that was known at this time.
