No one was hurt when shots were fired at a hose in the 2800 block of Homeland Place Saturday morning around 1 a.m. As officers were responding, several other neighbors called to report gun shots and vehicles leaving the area.
When officers arrived, they found a home with several bullet holes. The garage door was open so officers searched the house and found it to be empty. The homeowners stated they were not home at the time of the shooting but they have several adult children who stay at the residence. No injuries were reported.
At this time police believe this to be a targeted incident. Officers searched for physical evidence and located several shell casings across the street from the house. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
