While a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the Lincoln area through 6 am Wednesday, some additional counties in SE Nebraska have been added (Johnson, Pawnee, Nemaha and Richardson) to the Winter Storm Warning coverage as heavier amounts of ice are being forecast south of a line from Beatrice to Nebraska City to Red Oak, Iowa, where up to 1/4 inch of ice is now forecast.
Winds will also pick up as the storm moves through the area and snow will continue through mid-to-late afternoon with 4 to 6 inches likely and localized higher amount possible.
