An arrest is made in shoplifting and forgery cases dating back as far as November 15th.   On that day, police were called to Menards at 89th and Andermatt Drive after an employee reported the shoplifting.  Store video showed an adult female taking about $250 in tools and covering them up in a stroller.  The woman then left Menards and pawned the items at a local shop.

Between November 23rd and December 1st, a woman passed 69 stolen checks totaling approximately $9,800 at several locations throughout Lincoln.  Officers also were able to get video surveillance and matched them to the videos at the pawn shop.  They identified the woman as 35 year old Shonda Curry.

Curry was on parole and was wearing an electronic monitor.  Officers used the GPS from the monitor to place Curry at the locations of the forgeries.

Curry was booked for shoplifting and forgery.
