…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO NOON CST SATURDAY…

Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches across portions of east central, northeast and southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa.

Accumulating snowfall should return to the region after midnight tonight. Between midnight and 6 AM Saturday, 1 to 2 inches of snow are possible. A Winter Weather Advisory begins at midnight and runs through noon Saturday. .

Saturday through Thursday Snow accumulations of a 1 to 3 inches are possible between 6 AM noon Saturday. An additional 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible Sunday and Sunday night.

Some travel impacts are expected.

A period of very cold weather will set in Saturday and continue through next week. High temperatures will likely be limited to the single digits all week, while lows will fall to sub zero values.

Given these temperatures, hazardous wind chills of -20 to -30 may occur at times next week.
