The University of Nebraska-Lincoln approves the final step in budget cuts.

The final phase recommended by the Academic Planning Committee asks for the remaining $1.2 million dollars to be stripped from the budget.

Chancellor Ronnie Green approved reductions in the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the College of Education Human Sciences. They replace previous reduction proposals which were not implemented.

This action completes the process to address an expected $38.2 million budget shortfall in state-aided funding through 2023.
