Freezing drizzle may materialize after midnight south of I-80 where minor ice accumulation is possible. A transition to light snow is expected toward daybreak on Sunday.
Sunday through Friday: Light snow will persist through the morning hours on Sunday before tapering off from west to east during the afternoon. Total snowfall accumulations will be in the one to three inch range with the highest values expected in western Iowa.
Above freezing high temperatures are forecast for next week which could lead to some ice movement in area rivers.
