Lincoln Police are investigating the robbery of the Kwik Shop at 59th and Fremont Street around 2 a.m. Wednesday.
The clerk told police that two men with their face covered and hoods up and demanded money. One of the men came around the corner and assaulted the clerk. They grabbed alcohol and cartons of cigarettes and left the store.
The clerk was not seriously hurt. Officers processed the scene for evidence, canvassed the area, and are reviewing store video. The investigation continues.
