Just a day after dropping a walk-off game, Nebraska (2-1) came out with a vengeance against Purdue (1-2).

The Huskers opened up the Saturday double-header by jumping out to a 6-0 lead after the third inning. The shortened seven inning game was never close as Nebraska coasted to the 7-2 win.

Freshman Max Anderson continued his hot start with another three hit effort, adding two RBIs. Jaxon Hallmark led the Huskers with four hits in the game.

Game two saw more domination from the Lincoln team, as Nebraska got the win 10-0 in seven innings due to run-rule.

Freshman Brice Matthews and Anderson each tacked on a pair of hits.

The series wraps up Sunday.
