Fewer people applied for unemployment benefits for the week ending March 6th. There were 1,545 new claims, down 166 from the week before. Nee Pandemic Unemployment Assistance claims increased by 9 to 35.
Continued unemployment claims dropped by more than one-thousand. Continued Pandemic claims also dropped to 3,162, down 127 from the week before.
Benefits paid last week totaled 11-point-eight million dollars.
