A suspected drunk driver is off the road after Lincoln Police made a traffic stop during their special St. Patrick’s Day detail where 12 DUI citations were issued.
In one encounter an officer saw a driver swerve across several traffic lanes. The vehicle stopped and officers approached the driver who displayed several signs of possible alcohol intoxication.
Officers eventually placed 34 year old placed Dupree L. Reed in custody. Officers discovered that Reed’s driver’s license had been suspended for 15 years as a result of a 4th DUI offense, and the license was not eligible for reinstatement until 2033.
Officers cited and lodged Reed for 5th offense DUI – a felony, Driving While Revoked due to DUI – another felony, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, and Careless Driving. .
