Lincoln Police were called to the Walmart on North 85th Street around 4:30 Sunday on a report of a weapons violation in progress.  Officers spoke with a 45 year old woman who said she had been involved in a verbal argument with 47 year old Tereasa Albert.  The victim said Albert and two others were standing at the back of her vehicle when she left the store.  She said she felt they were “menacing” so she avoided them, got into her vehicle and started to back out of the parking space slowly expecting they would move.

The woman continued to back out and looked over at Albert who pulled a handgun out from her waistband and showed it to the victim but didn’t point it at her.  The victim asked Albert if she was serious and Albert responded yes.

Officers found Albert who said she had a permit to carry concealed weapons but she did not have a firearm with her.  Officers searched her vehicle and they found a 40 caliber handgun inside along with 89 rounds of 380 ambition.  Officers were suspicious as the ammunition didn’t match that of the gun found in the vehicle.  They searched the woman’s restroom inside Walmart and they found a 380 handgun belonging to Albert in a trash can.   They also found two glass pipes containing burned marijuana and 7.1 grams of marijuana inside Albert’s vehicle.

Albert was booked for terroristic threats, use of a firearm to commit a felony, tampering with physical evidence, child abuse, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Albert was with her 6 year old granddaughter at the time of the altercation.
