Over 70 area employers will gather Thursday at the Gateway Mall at 63rd and O Streets for the first drive-thru career fair of 2021. It will run from noon-7 p.m.in the former Sears parking lot on the south side of the mall.
The Partnership for Economic Development and EmployLNK will host the job fair. Organizers say employers continue to report that they have interviewed and hired prospective jobseekers as a result of the previous Drive-Thru Career Fairs.
This is a contactless event where attendees drive up to the Gateway Mall location and pick up a bag of information that contains job opening information from area employers. Openings range from entry-level to management in fields such as manufacturing, office, construction, healthcare and youth summer jobs. Organizers say they are expecting 500-700 people to attend.
