The Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum will host their inaugural Engineering & Technology Job Fair, Saturday, May 1, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The Museum will collaborate with local and regional engineering and technology businesses, with the goal of providing area job seekers and students the opportunity to learn more about career opportunities and possibly land a job interview. The museum will offer free admission from 9:00am to 3:00pm on May 1 to facilitate attendance to the job fair.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, projected growth of engineering careers will reach 4% by 2024. This calibrates to approximately 65,000 new engineering jobs added in a ten-year span. Many engineering careers project to grow even faster, including biomedical engineers (23%), environmental engineers (12%), and civil engineers (8%).
“The Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum has been creating partnerships with our communities since 1959. We have strived to help power our economy with people through engineering and technology learning,” says Executive Director, Jeff Cannon. “As an educational institution, the Museum has been a partner in revolutionizing education from early childhood to career.”
Businesses interested in taking part in the job fair can contact the museum and reserve a place to set up to meet with job seekers.
