The Seward County Sheriff’s Office says a 70 year old man died in a shed fire over the weekend.  On Saturday afternoon around 4:00 someone called 911 to report a shed was engulfed in flames near 210th and Highway 34.

The Seward County sheriff says rescue crews from Garland and Seward arrived and were told that a man was missing from the home.  The sheriff says after an extensive search of the area the body of William Peters was found in the burned building.

During the investigation, deputies believe that Peters was involved in a tractor accident which caused the fire.  The state fire marshal also conducted an investigation.
