Lincoln Police say four teenagers suffered minor injuries after the vehicle they were in ran into a house around 11:15 Wednesday morning.  LPD investigators were in the area of 70th and O Street in an unmarked vehicle when they observed occupants of a vehicle throwing objects at another vehicle.

The investigators pulled up alongside the vehicle, showed the driver their police badge, and attempted to get the driver to pull over so they could talk about the incident.  However, the vehicle made an abrupt turn at a high rate of speed on South Wedgewood Drive to evade the investigators.

LPD says the investigators did not pursue but continued in the opposite direction.  A short time later, officers were dispatched to 710 Wedgewood Drive on a report of a vehicle that collided with a house.   Officers eventually located a 17-year-old female, two 18-year-old females and a 15-year-old female in the 800 block of Lakewood Drive.

Officers determined that the vehicle had been stolen on May 2 from the 6600 block of Platte Avenue.  Officers located alcohol in the vehicle.  They also determined that two of the passengers were missing persons.

Witnesses told officers that the vehicle had sped down Wedgewood Drive at a high rate of speed and failed to navigate the curve, eventually colliding with the residence at 710 Wedgewood Drive.  All four passengers complained of minor pain.  Officers cited and booked the 17 year old driver for Theft by Receiving, Reckless Driving, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, MIP and No Operator’s License.
