KLIN Radio has updated the weekend lineup with several new shows.
At the beginning of 2022, listeners heard new shows in the overnight hours and during the day both Saturday and Sunday, and a new weeknight show.
“We pride ourselves on being ‘The Voice of Lincoln’,”, Assistant Program Director Kaleb Henry said. “With that, we believe the addition of these new shows helps to fill more of the interests of Lincolnites beyond what we had airing previously.”
During the weeknights, Caravan to Midnight has taken over the 11 p.m. to midnight slot. Hosted by John B. Wells, Caravan to Midnight features hard-hitting, alternative news stories and opinions on far-ranging topics and events from conspiracy theories and current events, to paranormal, world news, health & nutrition, science, politics, religion, entertainment, music, and pop-culture.
Wells also hosts Ark Midnight, a similar show Sunday mornings from midnight to 3 a.m.
The Mike Hewitt Show is at 1 a.m. on Saturdays. Described as “common sense radio”, the show has been running since 2012 with Hewitt’s strong Jeffersonian leaning and a wry sense of humor.
America Outdoors Radio, Saturdays at 2 a.m., is one of a few shows bringing something new to KLIN weekends. Hosted by outdoors writer John Kruse, the show features interviews with the experts to help you improve your skills in the field and on the water as he shares outdoor destinations you’ll want to visit from national parks to refuges and wildlife areas.
Legends of Success with John Resnick, Saturdays at 2 a.m., features insights from our country’s most successful entrepreneurs, entertainment icons, and members of the prestigious Forbes 400 List.
At 4 a.m. on Saturdays is The Michael Harrison Wrap. Harrison gives listeners a dynamic overview of the national conversation about the hottest issues and stories discussed that prior week on talk media. The program features interviews, analysis and opinions from a variety of voices covering a diverse array of political and social ideologies.
Airing in the 5 a.m. hour both Saturday and Sunday is a pair of half-hour shows. First, A Medicare Moment with Martha includes topics such as health, wellness, fitness, nutrition, insurance, and family caregivers as host Martha Khlopin takes listeners through all aspects of the Medicare maze. Next, InfoTrak interviews with experts and authorities, discussing topics of interest to most Americans. Fast-paced and lively, InfoTrak strives to present impartial, balanced coverage of every story.
Moving to the afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Frontlines of Freedom is a military news & talk radio show designed to address and discuss the most pressing issues facing our armed forces, veterans and their families. Hosted by Lt. Col. Denny Gillem, U.S. Army (Retired), the show also addresses military families, veteran’s activities and homeland security issues. Guests on the show include Cabinet members, generals, admirals, officers of all ranks, enlisted members, politicians, and family members.
Following that until 6 p.m. is The Car Doctor. Ron Ananian, a mechanic for more than 25 years with, helps the motoring public find the best treatment for a car’s little hiccups and the bigger ones, too. Crowned the Technician’s Technician by Motor Magazine, Ron gives motorists helpful tips on how to avoid repair fraud and deception, and he tells listeners about even further changes expected in the evolution of the automobile.
The final Saturday addition from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. is Handel on the Law. Described as “marginal legal advice”, host Bill Handel loves to inform callers that they literally “have absolutely no case.” Whether you’re talking about Big Brother, Big Business, Big Legal Problems, or Big Macs, you’ll rarely find Bill without an opinion. His rapid-fire commentary gives listeners the information they crave in the way they crave it.
Joining Ark Midnight in the Sunday early morning hours is Richard Syrett’s Strange Planet. Heard from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m., Richard’s passionate pursuit of life’s mysteries and his insatiable curiosity about the world around him has quickly made his show a popular weekend hit across North America.
The final addition to the weekend lineup is Gun Talk, heard from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Host Tom Gresham’s program is the original national radio program dedicated to guns and the shooting sports – airing coast to coast on more than 270 stations.
The addition of these shows necessitated the movement of a few others, including Amazing Americans (now Saturday at 1 p.m.), Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Sound Off (Sunday noon to 3 p.m.), and Sean Hannity Weekends (Sunday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.).
