According to Markets Insider, people are running out of gas on the road because they can’t afford to fill their gas tanks. The average cost for a gallon of gas in the U.S. is around $4.97 which is up 62% from a year ago. The AAA said roadside assistance calls for empty tanks is up 32% from a year ago, that’s around 200,000 empty drivers in 2022 so far.
