The country is experiencing one of the biggest blood shortages in 20-30 years, and that’s because younger donors are not donating blood.
To change that, the Big Ten Conference is partnering with Abbott to boost the US blood supply with a competition. It’s The We Give Blood Drive where students, faculty, alumni, and fans compete with the other Big Ten schools by donating blood, and proving to the world that they have the most team spirit. AND YOU KNOW WE DO!
Each donation is counted as 1 point, and the winning school will receive $1 million to advance student or community health. You also have a chance at winning a trip to the Big Ten Football Championship game.
