The Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department will be launching a new online reservation platform for parks and center facilities beginning January 2, 2025. Patrons may visit the site and set up accounts now at lincoln.ne.gov/CivicRec.
The Department says the new CivicRec site will streamline the reservation and payment process by providing users with a more efficient experience. During the transition to the new platform, all online facility reservations will be unavailable from December 13 through January 1, 2025.
During this time, reservations for center facilities must be made by calling or visiting center locations during business hours. Reservations for other parks facilities such as enclosed shelters will not be available until January 2, 2025.
“This upgrade will not only make it easier for our community to access and reserve our facilities, but it also reflects our commitment to enhancing user experience and service, said Maggie Stuckey-Ross, Lincoln Parks and Recreation Director, in a statement. “The new system is designed to simplify the reservation process by allowing users to accomplish multiple tasks from one convenient platform.”
Features of the new site include:
- Check availability, make reservations, and pay for facilities such as park shelters, recreation centers, practice fields, courts, and special use venues
- Browse, register, and pay for classes, programs, and events
- Sign and submit required documents electronically
- Barcode sign-in for pool passes and select recreation programs
- Email and text notifications
- Mobile-friendly interface
- Multi-language support through third-party integration
Online ballfield reservations will be available beginning March 1, 2025. For more information, contact the Team Sports Offices, 3131 “O” St. Suite 300, 402-441-7892. Reservations for municipal pools will be available May 26, 2025.
Residents without online access can still make reservations by visiting their preferred center location or the Parks and Recreation Administration office, 3131 “O” St., Suite 300, during business hours. For more information about Lincoln Parks and Recreation, visit lincoln.ne.gov/parks.
